Farm boy Sam Robbins is kidnapped and forced to serve on the HMS Victory, Lord Nelson's ship at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. He survives a fearome battle, which echoes down the years to reach Molly, a modern-day English girl who's also fighting loss and loneliness.
