22/11/2024A lighthearted, detective novel with a heroine who grew up reading Poroit, Nancy Drew and Sherlock Holmes, and who is determined to practise her fledgling investigative techniques to uncover the secret behind the body in the Red Rotunda.

I found this book a fun, easy read. The plot is written in a traditional detective novel style with clues scattered throughout the story, rather than characters being introduced right at the end which is always very annoying. This gives the reader a chance to work out the mystery alongside Bee and maybe even ahead of her. I give it a thumbs up for a light, summer read. Mrs Storr
