Summary: Twelve-year-old Steven Lamb digs holes on Exmoor, hoping to find the body of the uncle he never knew. Billy disappeared aged 11 and is assumed to have been murdered by notorious serial killer Arnold Avery. But Steven's Nan still waits for her son to come home, while her family falls apart around her. Steven is determined to heal the family rifts before it's too late. So he writes a letter to Arnold Avery in prison. Then begins a dangerous game between a desperate child and a bored serial killer
