Lucifer's Creek has had more than its fair share of murders. Over two dozen people have disappeared off the local hiking trails - there one moment, gone the next. Seventeen-year-old Dovie has a special talent. She can hear the bones of the dead, and when they begin their call she helps reunite the bodies with their grieving families. Dovie's best friend, Lo, is tortured by the shadowy souls of the murdered hikers. But the truth of their deaths isn't buried with their bones; it's lurking somewhere deep in the hills.
